Welcome to the Skippz Marketing Suite

Most video tools treat marketing as an add-on. A button here, a popup there, often disconnected from how viewers actually watch and behave. The Skippz Marketing Suite is built with a different mindset. It is designed to make videos work, not just play. Every feature is practical, intentional, and built to adapt naturally to viewer behaviour, without breaking the viewing experience A Marketing Layer Built Into Every Video Every video you upload in Skippz comes with a dedicated Marketing tab. This is where your video becomes an interactive asset rather than a passive piece of content. From here, you can: - Collect viewer information - Guide viewers toward specific actions - Control how and when elements appear - Adapt interactions based on timing and behaviour All of this happens inside the video itself. Interactive Elements You Can Use Today The Marketing Suite currently supports two core types of elements that can be applied to any video. Lead Capture Forms Forms allow you to collect information directly from viewers while they are watching. They can be: - Displayed as overlays or opened via buttons - Timed precisely within the video - Styled to match your branding - Configured to be skippable or persistent Forms are designed to capture intent without forcing viewers away from the content. Call to Actions Call to Actions help guide viewers toward a next step at the right moment. Skippz supports three CTA types, each serving a different purpose: - Image CTAs Visual prompts that draw attention and link viewers to external destinations. - Text CTAs Clean, lightweight prompts that guide viewers without disrupting playback. - Button CTAs Clear, high-intent actions designed for decisive moments. You can combine multiple CTA types within a single video to create structured engagement paths. Intelligence That Adapts to Viewer Behaviour What makes the Skippz Marketing Suite fundamentally different is not just the features, but how they work together. Skippz uses an intelligent floating timeline logic to manage all marketing elements inside a video. This logic ensures that: - Blocking and non-blocking elements behave correctly together - Viewers are never trapped or overwhelmed - Timing conflicts are handled automatically - The video experience remains natural and uninterrupted Instead of forcing rigid rules, the system adapts dynamically based on how elements are configured and how viewers interact with them. You control the strategy. Skippz handles the complexity. Built for Practical Use, Not Feature Noise Every part of the Marketing Suite is optional and intentional. Nothing is forced. Nothing is bundled artificially. You decide: - Which elements appear - When they appear - How they behave - How subtle or direct your marketing should be This makes the Marketing Suite suitable for everything from education and onboarding to lead generation and product discovery. In the next articles, we’ll walk through each element in detail, starting with Forms, followed by Call to Actions, and then advanced behaviour logic for users who want precise control.

Using Forms in Your Videos

Forms allow you to collect viewer information directly inside your videos without sending viewers elsewhere. Each video can have one form. Using Forms in Your Videos Forms allow you to capture viewer information directly inside your videos, without sending viewers away or interrupting the experience unnecessarily. Each video in Skippz can have one form, giving you clarity and control while keeping the viewing experience focused. Adding a Form to a Video To add a form: 1. Open your video 2. Go to the Marketing tab 3. Click Add Element and select Form Once added, you can fully configure how the form looks, behaves, and interacts with the video. Choosing What Information to Collect You can decide exactly what information you want to collect from viewers. By default, Skippz provides common fields such as: - Viewer name (First, Last Names) - Email address - Phone number You can also create custom fields to match your workflow. A maximum of four fields can be selected per form. This limit is intentional and helps maintain higher completion rates. Form Behaviour Options Forms in Skippz are highly configurable. How they behave depends on two key settings. Play Video in the Background This setting controls whether the video continues playing when the form appears. When this option is turned on - The video continues playing while the form is displayed - The form overlays the video without stopping playback - You can optionally set an Expiry Time The Expiry Time determines when the form should disappear from view if the viewer does not submit or skip it. This expiry is set within the video timeline, not as a fixed number of seconds. Important behaviour to understand If an expiry time is not set, and there are other marketing elements scheduled after the form, the marketing timeline becomes dynamic. This means: - Subsequent elements may be pushed back in time - The system adapts based on how the viewer interacts with the form - Elements may appear later than their original timestamps If expiry or available times are set for other elements, and the viewer submits or skips the form after those times have passed, those elements will not be shown. This adaptive behaviour is part of Skippz’s floating timeline logic. You can learn more about this behaviour here: 👉 Floating Timeline Logic Explained When this option is turned off - The video pauses when the form appears - Viewer attention is fully focused on the form - You will see an Available Duration option The Available Duration defines how long the form stays visible if the viewer does not submit or skip it. This gives you full control even when the video is paused. Form Display Method By default, forms are displayed as overlays that take up the full video view. This makes forms a blocking element, designed to capture attention. However, Skippz also allows a less disruptive option. Display Form as a Button You can choose to display the form as a button instead of an immediate overlay. When this option is selected: - The button appears during the video - The video continues playing normally - The button is considered a soft element When the viewer clicks the button: - The full form opens - The form then behaves exactly according to its settings This includes: - Whether the form is skippable - Whether the video plays in the background - Whether expiry time or available duration applies The button itself coexists with the video, while the form inherits all configured behaviour only after interaction. Timing the Form Forms can be triggered at: - The start of the video - The end of the video - A custom timestamp Timing works in combination with: - Play video in the background - Available duration - Expiry time - Viewer interaction When multiple elements exist in a single video, Skippz intelligently manages their order and visibility using floating timeline logic. Viewing Submitted Leads Once a viewer submits a form: - The lead appears in the Leads tab - Data is stored securely with the video it came from - Leads can be sent to external tools using integrations Key Concepts to Remember - Each video can have one form - Forms are blocking elements unless shown as buttons - Play video in the background controls whether playback stops - Expiry time and available duration define visibility rules - Floating timeline logic adapts element timing based on viewer behaviour Forms in Skippz are designed to be powerful without being disruptive. You stay in control of the strategy, while the system ensures the experience remains natural for your viewers.

Using Call to Actions in Your Videos

Call to Actions allow you to guide viewers toward a specific next step while they are watching your video. Unlike traditional video CTAs that simply appear and disappear, Skippz Call to Actions are designed to be intentional, adaptable, and behaviour-aware. They work alongside forms and other marketing elements without disrupting the viewing experience. Each video can contain up to five Call to Actions, giving you flexibility without clutter. Adding a Call to Action To add a Call to Action: 1. Open your video 2. Go to the Marketing tab 3. Click Add Element and select Call to Action Once added, you can choose the CTA type, configure its appearance, and control how and when it appears in the video. Types of Call to Actions Skippz supports three CTA types. Each serves a different purpose and fits different engagement moments. Image Call to Action Image CTAs allow you to display a visual element with a clickable destination. They are ideal for: - Highlighting products or offers - Driving traffic to landing pages - Creating visually strong prompts When displayed, image CTAs take over the video view and are considered blocking elements. Text Call to Action Text CTAs provide a clean, minimal way to guide viewers. They are useful when: - You want a subtle prompt - Visual distraction should be minimal - The message itself is more important than visuals Like image CTAs, text CTAs are blocking elements when shown. Button Call to Action Button CTAs are the most flexible option. They: - Appear as buttons over the video - Do not interrupt playback by default - Coexist with the video until clicked Because of this, button CTAs are considered soft elements. When a viewer clicks a button CTA, the configured action is triggered and the CTA is removed from the video. CTA Behaviour and Interaction What happens when a CTA is clicked Once a viewer clicks any Call to Action: - The CTA is immediately removed from the video - The destination link opens based on your configuration You can choose whether links open: - In the same tab - In a new tab This applies to all CTA types. Styling and Visual Customisation All Call to Actions can be styled to match your branding. Depending on the CTA type, you can customise: - Colors - Text - Overlay appearance - Button position This allows CTAs to feel native to your video rather than intrusive overlays. Timing Call to Actions CTAs can be scheduled to appear: - At the start of the video - At the end of the video - At a specific timestamp Timing works in combination with other marketing elements such as forms. When multiple elements exist in a video, Skippz manages their behaviour intelligently to avoid conflicts. Blocking vs Soft CTAs Understanding how CTAs interact with the video is important. Blocking CTAs Image and text CTAs are blocking elements. They take over the video view when shown and demand attention. Soft CTAs Button CTAs are soft elements. They can remain visible while the video plays and do not interrupt playback unless clicked. This distinction allows you to mix strong conversion moments with lighter guidance throughout a single video. CTAs and Floating Timeline Logic When multiple marketing elements are added to a video, Skippz uses floating timeline logic to manage how they appear. This means: - CTAs adjust dynamically based on viewer interaction - Elements do not overlap or trap the viewer - Later elements may shift if earlier interactions take longer than expected If a CTA has an expiry or availability window and the viewer interacts after that window has passed, the CTA may no longer appear. This behaviour ensures the video experience remains natural and intentional. You can learn more about this logic here: 👉 Floating Timeline Logic Explained Using Multiple CTAs in One Video A single video can contain up to five CTAs. You can combine different CTA types to create structured engagement paths. For example: - A soft button CTA early in the video - A blocking text CTA mid-way - A strong image CTA near the end Skippz ensures these elements behave correctly without overwhelming the viewer. Key Concepts to Remember - Each video can have up to five Call to Actions - Image and text CTAs are blocking elements - Button CTAs are soft elements - CTAs are removed once clicked - Timing adapts based on viewer behaviour - Floating timeline logic manages multiple elements intelligently Call to Actions in Skippz are designed to guide, not interrupt. You define the intent. Skippz ensures the experience stays clean, adaptive, and effective.

Understanding Floating Timeline Logic

When videos include multiple marketing elements, timing becomes complex. Viewers do not always behave predictably. Some act immediately, others wait, skip, or ignore elements entirely. The Floating Timeline Logic in Skippz exists to handle this reality. Instead of forcing rigid timelines that can break the viewing experience, Skippz adapts marketing elements dynamically based on viewer behaviour and element configuration. This ensures your videos remain watchable, intentional, and free from conflicts. Why Floating Timeline Logic Exists Traditional video marketing tools rely on fixed timestamps. If something is scheduled for 2:00, it appears at 2:00 no matter what. This creates problems when: - A form pauses the video - An element stays on screen longer than expected - A viewer delays interaction - Multiple elements overlap in timing Floating Timeline Logic solves this by allowing marketing elements to shift intelligently rather than collide. Fixed Timelines vs Floating Timelines Fixed Timeline - Elements appear strictly at their assigned timestamps - Viewer behaviour is ignored - Conflicts are common - Viewers can be overwhelmed or blocked Floating Timeline - Elements respect their intended order - Actual appearance adapts to viewer interaction - Conflicts are resolved automatically - The video experience remains natural Skippz uses floating timelines whenever rigid timing would harm usability. What Triggers Floating Behaviour Floating Timeline Logic activates when certain conditions are met. This commonly happens when: - A blocking element has no expiry or available time - A form plays while the video continues - A viewer delays submitting or skipping an element - Multiple elements exist after a long-running interaction In these cases, Skippz prioritises sequence and experience over absolute timestamps. How Floating Timeline Logic Works At a high level, Skippz evaluates three things continuously: 1. Element type 2. Viewer interaction 3. Timing constraints Based on this, elements may either: - Appear at their original time - Be delayed until earlier interactions finish - Be skipped entirely if their valid window has passed This happens automatically without requiring manual intervention. Forms and Floating Timelines Forms are the most common trigger for floating behaviour. When Play Video in the Background is enabled - The video continues playing - The form overlays the video - You may optionally set an expiry time within the video timeline If no expiry time is set: - The form remains active indefinitely (until skipped or filled) - Subsequent elements are pushed forward - The timeline becomes fully floating If other elements have expiry or availability windows: - Those elements will not appear if their valid time passes while the form remains active - This prevents outdated or mistimed prompts from appearing late When Play Video in the Background is disabled - The video pauses when the form appears - An available duration can be set - The form disappears automatically after that duration if untouched In this case: - Floating behaviour is minimal - The timeline resumes cleanly once the form closes Call to Actions and Floating Behaviour Call to Actions also participate in floating logic. Blocking CTAs Image and text CTAs behave similarly to forms when displayed. If they remain active beyond their intended window, later elements may shift or be skipped. Soft CTAs Button CTAs coexist with the video and are less disruptive. They typically do not cause timeline shifts unless combined with blocking elements. Multiple Elements in One Video When several marketing elements exist in a single video, Skippz follows these principles: - Element order is preserved - Viewers are never trapped unless it's intended by the user - No two blocking elements compete for attention - Expired elements do not resurface later - The video always remains playable This allows you to design complex strategies without manually calculating edge cases. When Elements Will Not Appear An element will not be shown if: - Its expiry or availability window has passed - A previous interaction delayed the timeline beyond its valid range - Showing it would interrupt a more critical interaction This behaviour is intentional and protects viewer experience. Designing With Floating Timelines in Mind For best results: - Use expiry or available times when order matters - Avoid stacking too many blocking elements back to back - Use soft elements for long videos - Let floating logic handle unpredictability Floating timelines are not a limitation. They are a safeguard. Key Takeaways - Floating Timeline Logic adapts to viewer behaviour - Elements shift when rigid timing would cause conflicts - Expired elements are skipped intentionally - Viewer experience always takes priority - Complex setups remain stable without manual tuning Floating Timeline Logic is what allows the Skippz Marketing Suite to remain powerful without becoming fragile. You define the strategy. The system ensures it behaves correctly.
